Diagonal Knitting: A Different Slant by Katharine Cobey

Make room on your knitting bookshelf: Diagonal Knitting: A Different Slant, by knitter/fiber artist/sculptor Katharine Cobey is hot off the press (Schoolhouse Press, 2010).

I'm proud to call Katharine a friend, a mentor and a source of inspiration. Katharine's creativity, technical skill and superb understanding of garment construction gave me the information and the confidence I needed to knit my wedding dress (knit diagonally from the top down). She's sparked in me an obsession with bias knitting and a desire to push the boundaries of knitting both as craft and as art.

I hope I can get a copy of the book soon (I haven't had great luck with having books delivered here in Valle de Bravo) and will post a detailed review when I do. In the meantime, you can preorder a copy from her publisher Schoolhouse Press, and follow Katharine's new blog.
